Tommies Top Blue Devils

The St. Thomas University Tommies improved to 2-0 on the season with a 63-46 win over the University of King's College Blue Devils, Saturday night at the Lady Beaverbrook Gym.

Jessica Patenaude poured in 14 points in the win, while Lainy Dow and Jayme Hunt chipped in with 10 and 11, respectively. 

The Blue Devils were led by Candace Reynolds, who connected for 14 points on five-for-five shooting from the field. 

The Tommies trailed by one after the first quarter, but came out strong in the second en route to a 32-22 halftime lead. 

The Tommies continued their strong play, holding the Blue Devils to seven points in the third quarter. The Blue Devils made a late push but it wasn't enough to close the gap.

The CCAA no.12 ranked Tommies are back in action tomorrow when they host the Mount Saint Vincent Mystics. Game time is 12:30 pm.
