Danielle Ring Named to Team Canada Ball Hockey for 2019

Current Tommie, Danielle Ring of Saint John, NB, was recently named to Team Canada for the Women’s World Ball Hockey Championships in 2019.

The 4th year Criminology student has been close before but her performance at this year’s Women’s Nationals with team New Brunswick solidified her spot.  She was named a tournament 1st Team All-Star.

“I’m just honored and excited to get this opportunity to represent my country” said Ring when asked about what this meant to her.  “All the hard work I’ve put in is paying off, it means everything to me.”

Danielle joins former Tommie Jessie McCann, also of Saint John, NB, on the National Team.

“Danielle’s hands and creativity on the ice and floor would definitely be an asset to the National program,” said Tommies head coach Peter Murphy.  “Those skills, as well as her ability to read the play and create offense are no doubt what the scouts saw. I am more than confident that she will do us proud.”

Team Canada will compete at the ISBHF World Championships in Kosice, Slovakia in June of 2019.
