The St. Thomas Tommies dropped a tough 20-19 decision to UNB in a rugby edition of the Battle of the Hill, Friday night at Scotiabank Park South. 

After a hard fought first half, the teams were tied 12-12. The Tommies came out in the second frame and took a 19-12 lead, but UNB battled back, taking a 20-19 lead with five minutes to go. The Tommies pressured, but ran out of time. 

Becca Baker scored two tries for the Tommies, while Emily Cusack crossed the line once. Bailey Andrews and Kianna Laurin added a conversion each.

UNB's offense was fueled by Taylor McAulay, Taran Price, and Jordan Mitchell, who all had one try. Beau Greenwood Gardner added a penalty goal and conersion.
