Tommies Down Mounties 32-7 in Sackville

The St. Thomas Tommies downed the Mount Allison Mounties 32-7 in ACAA women's rugby action Sunday afternoon in Sackville. 

The first half saw the Tommies earn tries from second-year scrumhalf Bailey Andrews, who added a conversion, and first-year flyhalf Emily Donelle. The Mounties countered with a converted try from Tristen Haley, giving the Tommies a 12-7 lead at the break.

The Tommies pulled away in the second frame with tries from flanker Nat Sarchuk, prop Kristen Bulman, and winger Sarah Breau. Kianna Laurin converted on try and made a penalty kick to round out the Tommies offense. 

With the win, the Tommies improve to 3-2 on the season. 

The green and gold are back in action Monday, October 10, when they host the Dalhousie Agricultural Campus Rams at Scotiabank Park South. Kickoff is at 3:00 pm.
