Tommies Top Mounties 40-17 in Final Home Game of the Regular Season

The St. Thomas Tommies defeated the Mount Allison University Mounties in ACAA women's rugby by a score of 40-17 in their final home game of the regular season.

The Tommies opened the scoring on a try from Megan Gullison, which sparked their offense en route to a 20-5 half time lead.

Olivia Ricketts scored two tries in the first 10 minutes of the second half to give the Tommies a comfortable lead, but the Mounties responded with a converted try to close the gap to 35-12.

Most of the play was contained to the sides of the field, and the Tommies were able to keep the Mounties at bay with stellar defense and concise tackling.

The Tommies close out their season when they visit the University Kings College Blue Devils on Sunday, October 23.
