SEASON RECAP: Tommies Claim ACAA Silver For Third Straight Season

For the third consecutive season, the St. Thomas University Tommies finished as Atlantic Collegiate Athletic Association silver medalists.

The Tommies faced the UNB Varsity Reds in the conference final, but were shutout 24-0.

Despite falling one game short of the ACAA title, it was another dominating season for the Tommies who finished with a regular season record of 6-2.

This was quite a feat for the young Tommies squad that welcomed 11 new additions after seeing the departure of a solid veteran group that included all-conference player Taylor Dube and team MVP Marissa Walcott.

Newcomers Olivia Ricketts, Kianna Laurin, Becca Baker, Emily Donelle, and Nat Sarchuk played big minutes for the Tommies in their debut season. They each contributed at least one try and were an integral part of the team's defense, which only gave up an average of nine points per game.

At the end of the season, Tommies head coach Meghan Morrison was recognized as the ACAA Coach of the Year, while Ricketts was given the nod as conference's top rookie.

Kiaya Jorden, Shannon Morris, Bailey Andrews, and Jenna Betts were chosen as ACAA all-conference players.
