SEASON RECAP: Young Tommies Squad Struggles in 2016-17

The St. Thomas University Tommies women's soccer team had another tough season in the Atlantic Collegiate Athletic Association.

The Tommies, who welcomed 11 rookies to the team, finished the season with a record of 3-8-1.

The newcomers will provide a solid core moving forward and some have found their stride already. Phoebe van der Muelen and Olivia Ormond made a splash in their Tommies debut, netting two goals each, and the addition of Mary Cronin as keeper offered stability in a position that's seen ample turnover in the past two seasons.

Despite missing playoffs for the second consecutive season, the Tommies will look to build on the growth from this season in 2017-18.
