The St. Thomas Tommies women’s soccer team adds to their 2022-23 recruiting class with winger Cassidy Price. 

After playing her first year with the Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues, the speedy winger has returned to Fredericton to join the Green & Gold. 

“We are so happy that Cassidy decided to return home and play for STU in 2022,” said head coach Michelle Decourcey. “Having come up through FDSA’s premiership system and with a year of AUS playing experience under her belt, Cass brings some great attacking speed and determination to our flanks. We look forward to seeing her connect some of our offensive dots this season.” 

Cassidy moved to Fredericton from her hometown of Quebec City in 9th grade. When asked why she decided to return to Fredericton to attend STU, her passion for the sport and people she plays with was evident. 

“I chose to go to STU because it seemed like the right fit for me and so far, I can say I made a really good choice!” said Cassidy. “Soccer has always been a passion of mine and I wanted to pursue the sport I love with welcoming people who make me happy to be with them.”

Price is the 2nd recruit announced for Coach DeCourcey after Cierra Meredith.  Both joined the program in January, and have had the chance to train and play with the squad during the offseason in preparation for the upcoming ACAA season.
