Tommies Set Four STU Records at Gagetown Indoor Meet

The Tommies track and field team set four new university records at the 16th Annual Gagetown Indoor meet. 

Shannon Morris's weight throw of 11.50 meters is the new benchmark for the STU team, and Sarah Hickman set a new record in the 200 meters with a time of 29.05. 

In high jump, Emily Authier and Connor Coelho had record-breaking performances, clearing 1.40 and 1.30 meters, respectively. 

Olivia Ricketts earned the junior championship title in shot put with a throw of 8.19 meters and teammates Katherine Conran placed second with a distance of 7.64 meters. Morris finished second in the senior category with a throw of 9.26 meters. 

The Tommies swept the senior women's weight throw with Morris placing first, Stephanie Gates came in second with a throw of 10.64, and Anisha Romany finished third at 8.18. In the junior category, Blackmore threw 10.86 meters and finished third.

On the men's side, Cowan Donovan came in third in with a distance of 10.80 meters.

The runners found success as well--Ryan Terry crossed the finish line second in the junior 1000 meters.
