The Sportsmatch Blues women's volleyball team of Fredericton, NB, bested the Holland College Hurricanes 2-1 in the championship final of the STU-CN Invitational tournament.
Set scores were 19-25, 25-21, and 15-12.
The host Tommies were eliminated by the Hurricanes in the semi-finals after finishing first in the green division.

The Tommies defeated UNBSJ (25-16, 25-17) and split with UPEI (25-18, 22-25)

1. Fredericton Sportsmatch Blues – 3 wins, 1 loss
The Blues split with Holland College (15-25, 25-15) and defeated MTA (25-13, 26-24).

QUARTER FINALS
The Mount Allison Mounties defeated the UNBSJ Seawolves in three sets (20-25, 25-22, 15-7) in the first quarter final. Holland College downed the UPEI Panthers, winning two of three sets (25-12, 21-25, 15-8).
SEMI-FINALS
The Sportsmatch Blues topped the Mounties 2-0, with set scores of 25-16 and 25-17 in the first semi-final. The Holland College Hurricanes bested the STU Tommies in straight sets (25-17, 25-16) to earn their spot in the tournament final.
CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL
The Sportsmatch Blues women's team edged the defending STU-CN tournament champion Holland College Hurricanes, 2-1. Set scores were 19-25, 25-21, and 15-12.
