The St. Thomas University Tommies defeated the University of New Brunswick Saint John Seawolves 3-1 in ACAA women's volleyball action Wednesday night at the Lady Beaverbrook Gym.

Set scores were 25-20, 21-25, 25-23, and 25-20.

After splitting the first two sets, the Tommies managed to push through their offensive struggles in the third and hold on for a 25-23 win. They carried that momentum into the fourth and it showed—their kill percentage was .357 with only three errors.

Megan Mills and Deirdra Jones led the Tommies with 13 kills each, placing a large portion of their attacks on the outside corners.

Indigo Clement was the eventual leader in kills for the Seawolves with 11 kills, while Taneesha Dalling added nine.

The Tommies are back in action this Saturday at noon when they host the Université Sainte-Anne Dragons.
