After welcoming 10 new players, the Tommies women's volleyball team used an impressive second-half push to earn a spot at the 2016-17 Atlantic Collegiate Athletic Association volleyball championships.

The Tommies struggled early on in the season, sitting in seventh place at the break with a record of 1-7.  

They started the second half winning six out of their first eight games and climbed their way into a playoff position.

At the ACAA championships, the Tommies faced the fourth-place UNBSJ Seawolves in a back-and-forth battle but fell 3-2.
