Tommies Volleyball eyes Katelyn Isenor for Fall 2022

The Tommies Women's Volleyball team is adding Wolfville's versatile right side player Katelyn Isenor to the roster for 2022-2023.

The upcoming Horton High School graduate has played a multitude of sports including hockey and soccer but will focus on volleyball when she lands in Fredericton for the Fall semester.

Isenor is already looking forward to attending St. Thomas.  "I chose STU because of diverse programs offered and I was really interested in the journalism and history programs," boasts the Valley Eagles club graduate.

St. Thomas is renowned for its small classes and as Katelyn mentions "I like the tight knit community" on campus and joining an ACAA contender.  "I love the team dynamic, everyone works so hard, and it seems to show during games."

Coach Don McKay is retooling his roster after nabbing the ACAA silver medal in the 2022 playoffs.  "Katelyn has good size and strength. We will have her work on all her skills, including Setting, in her first year."

Isenor is not afraid of the challenge.  "I am a hard working, dedicated player. I'll have a positive attitude and will help keep the mood light and fun."

Coach McKay echoed those comments. "She also has good family support, and a desire to improve. I look forward to working with her."

Katelyn is the 3rd addition announced by Women's Volleyball after Fredericton recruits Elle Kilburn and Kathleen Boyle.
