ACAA women’s soccer

he UNBSJ Seawolves hosted the St. Thomas Tommies in ACAA women's soccer action Sunday, Sept.19 at the Canada Games Stadium in Saint John.

Both teams played strong defense and the game quickly became a midfield standoff. Karlee Duval broke the deadlock with a goal at the 35 minute mark. It continued to be defensive battle until late in the game when the Tommies had a glorious opportunity to tie the game with a close range shot that keeper Jillian Smith managed to get a hand on to deflect wide. The Seawolves hung on from there and prevailed 1-0.

The Seawolves raised their record to 3-1-0 for the season while the Tommies stand at 1-2-1.

The next game for both teams is Saturday, Sept. 25. The Seawolves visit the Mount Saint Vincent Mystics at 2:00pm while the Tommies play University of King's College at 3:00pm.
