ACAA restart delayed further due to Omicron wave

HALIFAX, N.S. (Jan. 12, 2022) - As a result of ongoing challenges and restrictions in each of the three Maritime provinces due to Covid-19 and the Omicron variant, the ACAA is announcing a further delay in the start of the winter semester schedule. 

Teams will not begin play as of January 19 as anticipated, though we remain committed to restarting ACAA competition at the first opportunity.

The ACAA will continue to abide by all public health and institutional directives as plans for return are developed. 

Member schools are working through several contingencies and will be prepared to activate leagues once conditions allow. 

"We remain impressed with the dedication and fortitude of our ACAA student athletes and coaches, and we want to thank them for continuing to prepare for the hopeful return to league play," offered ACAA President Michael Eagles.
