On Thursday June 16th, the Annual LeRoy Washburn Memorial Golf Classic returns to its regular format!

Over his time as Athletics Director from 1969 to 1999, LeRoy coached numerous teams and served as our representative at Atlantic University Athletic Association (now Atlantic University Sport) and the Canadian Interuniversity Athletics Union (now USPORTS).

Perhaps his largest and most lasting impact came with the emergence of competitive varsity women's teams in volleyball, basketball, soccer, and rugby, programs that now boast a history of success in the Atlantic Collegiate Athletic Association, as well as his mentorship of generations of student-athletes.

Sadly, LeRoy Washburn passed away on April 13, 2019. 

Join us for a fun day in honour of LeRoy at the Kingswood Golf Club on Thursday, June 16th, 2021.  Your cart, along with fellow STU alumni and friends, will be awaiting your arrival.

Registration includes your green fees, cart, and meal, for $700/team of 4; or $175/golfer, with net proceeds from the event will go to the Washburn Championship Fund.  

Event Timeline
Check-in between 12pm and 12:30pm.
Shotgun start at 1pm
Buffet meal ready at 5:30pm once players come off the course
Announcement of prize winners at approximately 6pm.
