Tommies Drop Tough 86-80 Decision to Blue Devils

The St. Thomas University Tommies dropped a tough 86-80 decision to the University of King's College Blue Devils in ACAA men's basketball action at the Lady Beaverbrook Gym. 

The Tommies held a 49-34 advantage after 20 minutes and continued their strong play in the third, but a lopsisded fourth quarter in favour of the Blue Devils put them behind.

Four of the five Blue Devils starters hit double digits, with Keenan Sparks's 19 points, seven rebounds, and four steals leading the way. Campbell Colpitts netted 17, while Brendan Balcom and Jordan Dyck had 15 and 12, respectively.

The Tommies were paced by Mitch Claybourn, who had 24 points. Tariq Thomas added 16 and Carlo Theriault picked up 10 points to go along with six rebounds.

The Tommies are back in action February 24 when they take on the Holland College Hurricanes in Charlottetown.
