Tommies Dominate at Home Against Holland Hurricanes

Fredericton, NB St. Thomas Tommies showcased their basketball with a commanding 106-62 victory over the Holland Hurricanes at Lady Beaverbrook Gym. From a dominant first period to a resounding fourth, the Tommies left no room for doubt in securing a decisive win. 

Right from the tip-off, the Tommies set the tone, storming into the first period with a 28-12 lead. 

The second quarter solidified Tommies control. 

"The team energy was high today, and it played a crucial role in the 40+ point win, we have been working hard, so we feel today it paid off; all went smoothly. Happy for that," Rees Hasson said.

Heading into halftime, the score was 59-30. As the action unfolded in the third period, the Tommies further stretched their lead to 70-37, leaving little room for the Hurricanes to mount a comeback. The fourth period finished with a score of 106-62, sealing the victory for the Tommies.

Bryce Corless led the Hurricanes with 21 points, and Vincent Lyttleton, who was awarded player of the game, led the Tommies with 21 points.

The next game for the Tommies will be December 3rd against UKC while the Hurricanes will face UNBSJ the same day.
