Tommies Triumph in Intense Battle Against MSVU Mystics, Securing a 92-84 Victory.

Fredericton, NB - St. Thomas Tommies emerged victorious in a hard-fought matchup against MSVU Mystics, as they seized an early lead, maintained control throughout, and clinched a 92-84 win.

The match started with both teams displaying strength early on with a tie of 13-13 in the first minutes. The Tommies managed to take the first lead, clinching the first quarter with a 5-point advantage.

Heading into halftime, STU maintained control over the Mystics with a score of 55-47.

The third quarter favored the Tommies, boasting an 81-65 score, and as the intensity peaked in the fourth quarter with relentless attacks from both sides, MSVU closed the gap. However, the home team Tommies, secured the win with a final score of 92-84. 

Reflecting on the performance, Tommies player Ethan Tumwine commented after the game, "We still have a couple of things to improve for sure; we are happy with the win, looking forward to keeping the streak going, hopefully."

Geoffrey Lavoie led the Tommies with 30 points, five assists, and 12 rebounds, while Jaxon Smith led the Mystics with 31 points, two assists, and two rebounds. 

The next games for both teams will be on Saturday, January 20th; Tommies will face Crandall University while the Mystics will face UKC.
