Fredricton, NB - In a decisive victory over the Holland Hurricanes, the STU Tommies sealed a 91-81 win, wrapping up the regular season in 1st place as both teams prepare for the playoffs hosted in PEI next week.
The Hurricanes made an impressive start, taking the lead in the first quarter. However, the Tommies regained control by halftime, leading 50-47.
In the third quarter, the Tommies maintained their advantage, outscoring the Hurricanes 75-62.
With a final score of 91-81, the Tommies secured the win, marking the end of the regular season. Bryce Corless led the hurricanes with 24pts while Owen Amos led the tommies with 20pts.
STU finished in 1st place, while Holland finished 4th.
Both teams will now head to the playoffs next weekend, hosted in PEI by Holland College.
