Felix Abbott Joins STU Tommies Basketball Program

Fredericton, NB—STU Athletics is excited to announce the addition of Felix Abbott, a dynamic and highly skilled point guard from Toronto, Ontario, to the Tommies men's basketball team. Felix comes to St. Thomas University with an impressive background, having played for Crestwood Prep Varsity, CODE Academy, and NU-Step AAU.

 

Felix brings a high-level work ethic, competitiveness, and intensity to the Tommies program. His defensive prowess and leadership, combined with his versatility as an offensive weapon, make him a valuable addition to the team. "I am excited to bring my skills and dedication to the Tommies. I look forward to contributing to the team's success and growing both as a player and a person," said Felix.

 

Choosing St. Thomas University was an easy decision for Felix. "The amazing coaches, player development opportunities, and the high level of the team with a history of greatness drew me to STU. Additionally, being close to my brother, who attends UNB, was important to me. The beautiful campus and facilities, along with elite level coaches who are dedicated to personal development beyond basketball, made STU the perfect choice."

 

Academically, Felix is interested in pursuing studies in psychology, human rights, and native studies. He is also known for his involvement in various extra-curricular activities, further showcasing his commitment to personal growth and community engagement.

 

Felix has high praise for the STU program and Coach John. "From what I have seen, the program has great players who work hard at their craft. They are also very friendly and welcoming, and it felt like I entered a new family the moment I got there. Coach John is a great coach and an extremely nice person. He took me and my mom out for dinner after runs. He is an intelligent coach with elite philosophies that directly correlate to my play style."
