Reis Joins the Tommies from Coast to Coast

The STU Men’s Soccer Team is happy to announce its 2nd addition to the 2021 squad as Head Coach John-Ryan Morrison looks to have a busy offseason re-tooling the Tommies men’s soccer program.

Nicholas Reis, a Maple Ridge, BC recruit will join the Green & Gold for training camp near the end of summer of 2021.  "Ever since I was 5 years ol, I've been playing with the same passion and love for the game."  The Premier Soccer Academy product adds: "This passion helps me to express my soccer IQ, leadership qualities, and natural positivity on the field. I hope to show Coach Morrison, my fellow teammates, and the university as a whole that I love the game and will always strive to get better and do better for them"

Reis chose STU because: "it fit right into what I want from a University. It has a successful soccer program which wants to compete strongly at a National level and a top tier Education that aligns with my interests in the Fine Arts, Economics, Social Justice and Law, all contained in the beautiful city of Fredericton, making it that much better of a choice for me to make."

Coach John-Ryan Morrison is working on his rebuild and is starting with the backline: "With three of our 2019 starting wing back options graduating or moving on I think Nich is going to be a great fit.  He has been working hard and if keeps up his progress under coach Shawn at PSA over the next year, I think he will certainly turn some heads at training camp."

Coach Morrison continues to expands his efforts to bring high quality student-athletes from across Canada and the World.  "Anytime a young player is willing to move out of his comfort zone and go from coast to coast for his academic and soccer development it is usually a great sign of the character of the player and we are excited to have him."

Although Covid-19 has cancelled the 2020 ACAA Fall Season, STU soccer have been training in anticipation of the 2021 season to fine tune their skills.
