Having already added two names to the 2020-21 mix, John-Ryan Morrison continues to add to his squad as David Armstrong has agreed to join the Tommies.

Armstrong has an impressive soccer resume which includes making the BC Junior Whitecaps team twice, joining them for two international tournaments.

“When I spend a lot of time looking at student athlete recruiting profiles sometimes I just come across a student that, regardless of if they played soccer or not, I feel it is my mission to convince them to come to STU, David is one of those students,” said Morrison of his latest recruit.

“The bonus for the soccer program is that I think he will develop into a strong player in the future and when you have someone with his passion for giving back and being involved in his school like David does, it can only help your soccer program,” added Morrison. “I am looking forward to working with him to help him achieve success with the Tommies.”

The playmaking winger has previously played for the Terrace Selects and hailing from Prince Rupert, BC, was impressed with the professors, team and facilities when he visited.

“The professors I met with were excellent, the training facilities are amazing and the team is great,” said Armstrong. “Playing university soccer has always been a dream of mine and this is a great chance to fulfill that.”
