Rowinski commits to Tommies Soccer team in Coach Morrison's rebuild

The STU Men’s Soccer Team is happy to announce its 8th addition to the 2021 squad as Head Coach John-Ryan Morrison continues to revamp his roster before the 2021 season with local product Isaiah Rowinski committing to the Green & Gold.

"It was an easy choice because it's in my own back yard and, as an alumni of the school, my father has always spoken well of his time there," mentions the current Grade 12 Fredericton High student.

"It's a fantastic liberal arts school, with small class sizes, great professors, exciting soccer program and everyone I've come in contact with has been incredibly generous."

Playing soccer at STU will be familiar under Coach Morrison. "Bringing lots of experience from being part of three NB provincial championship teams and attending two national championships, I bring size, speed, composure on the wing, and will provide solid strength in the air because of my height."

Those traits and skill sets are all what helped Coach JR bring in Isaiah to the Green & Gold. “I have known Isaiah for along time having coached him in the FDSA Premiership Academy and he checks every box that I am looking for in a recruit as we completely rebuild the entire squad ahead of our return in the fall."

Suceeding on the pitch is not as important as suceeding in the classroom.  "He has excellent grades, he comes from a supportive family, he has experience at Canadian Soccer Nationals and he is doing all the right things off the field to improve his game”

“I think he is only scratching at the surface of what he can achieve in soccer and I am really excited to have another local product join the Tommies,” adds Coach Morrison.

Rowinski joins Takin Marvasti, Matteo Neves, Will Benoit, Zachary Zoellner-Krauss, Ben Davidge, Nicholas Reis and Moman Adbul who have committed to the Tommies Men's Soccer program for the 2021-2022 season.
