The STU Men’s Soccer Team is happy to announce its 4th addition to the 2021 squad as Head Coach John-Ryan Morrison continues his rebuild.

The Tommies will be looking forward to the arrival of Zach Zoellner-Krauss, a grade 12 defensive midfielder from the Jr. Gaels Soccer Club.

Despite not being able to visit St. Thomas, the Belleville, Ontario native felt right at home by committing to the program.  "I have been made to feel incredibly welcomed by so many STU community members," Zach mentions.  "Coach Morrison is approachable and his vision and passion for the game echo my own.  His knowledge, dedication and attention to his players is remarkable. The philosophy that hard work doesn’t go unnoticed and will propel you to the next level is what drives me."

Coach Morrison continues to recruit great talent to the legendary program.  "Zach is a passionate player who doesn’t mind a tackle, who has good ball distribution and reads the game well." The skip heading into his 7th season adds: "I think if he continues the hard work he has been putting in lately to improve his game, he will be ready to compete for a Defensive mid starting spot next fall.”

Zoellner-Krauss is looking to make that impact early, but for the long term. "I play an intense and intelligent game. I have a tireless work ethic solidifying our back line and helping in the build up play. I will bring my vison and awareness to find the press breaking ball and control the tempo of the match. I hope to share my passion for soccer with my teammates and with the student body." who is currently in his graduating year at Moira Secondary School.

Zachary joins Ben Davidge, Nicholas Reis and Moman Adbul who have committed to the Men's Soccer program for the 2021-2022 season.
