Tommies Men's Soccer continue to load up with a diversity of experience with their newest addition Nikolas Landry.

The wing back from Saint John, NB has played 40 games in the AUS Men's Soccer conference with the Aigles Bleues through his 4-year career.  He will step back onto the pitch in Fredericton to play at St. Thomas while pursuing his Education degree.

"First, I chose St. Thomas University because of the strong reputation that their Education program has." says the Codiac First Touch product. "I heard many positive things about their Education program from various people and I was very attracted by the small university atmosphere that St. Thomas University has to offer."

Coach John-Ryan Morrison will look to Nik's veteran skills to mould the upcoming squad into another ACAA championship team.

"When you get to the level we are at now, it is really important that any recruit you bring in will not only help you on the field, but off of it as well," lauds the reigning ACAA Coach of the Year.  "We are still a very young team so being able to bring in someone like Nik, who already has good experience under his belt,  will really help show the younger players what it takes to be a varsity student athlete."

Turning to the field, Coach Morrison mentions "I like his patience on the ball, his desire to build from the back and his compete level.  I have really enjoyed his professionalism throughout the recruiting process and when you combine that with his soccer abilities, I am very excited to have him on board."

Landry didn't want to give up an amazing opportunity when choosing a University to pursue his career as a teacher.  "Having just won the league championship last fall and looking to defend their title this upcoming season with another very strong squad, it was an easy decision for me to join such a competitive and successful program."

Nikolas is the 8th addition for the Men's Soccer program, joining Elias Stiphout, Avery Webster, Alec Wells, Nathan Bellemare, Jason Scott, Luca Foianesi and Matthew Oprea.
