Springer Named All-Canadian for Consecutive Seasons

St. Thomas University Tommies' striker Brett Springer has been named a CCAA All-Canadian for a second consecutive season. Springer scored 12 goals this season, finishing second in the ACAA.

"It's a great honour," Springer said. "It means a lot to represent one of the best soccer programs at a national level."

Springer finished his Tommies career Sunday evening after a loss to the Holland College Hurricanes in the ACAA finals. In his career, Springer has proven to be one of the best ever to suit up in the green and gold.

In his three seasons, Springer scored 36 goals in 30 games - nine in his rookie season and 15 in the 2021-22 season, which led the ACAA. Springer added five ACAA playoff goals in four games, as well as five in his three games at the 2021-22 CCAA Nationals.

He was named to the ACAA All-Conference First Team in 2021-22 and 2022-23, along with All-Canadian honours in both years. His 2021-22 campaign also earned him ACAA player of the Year honours, as well as a trip to nationals as the Tommies won their first ACAA title since 2000-01. Springer was also a CCAA National Scholar in 2021-22.
