Fredericton, NB - Winger Jovahn Garrity-Anderson has signed with the STU Tommies, marking a significant milestone in his promising career. The dynamic player will bring his exceptional skills and unwavering dedication to the esteemed STU Tommies, enhancing the team's roster for the upcoming season.

Garrity-Anderson, a native of North York, Ont., has emerged as a standout talent in the soccer world, captivating audiences with his performances on the field.

Upon joining the STU Tommies, Garrity-Anderson expressed his enthusiasm for the opportunity, stating, "I plan to bring my hard work ethic and leadership qualities to help raise the bar on the level of play with the team. As Nationals are being hosted by STU, I aim to assist with winning the championship on home turf by bringing my creativity, speed, and technical abilities to the competition."

Beyond his athletic prowess, he is also deeply passionate about his academic pursuits, expressing interest in pre-law. As a member of the Black Student Alliance and APGA (Academic Program for Gifted Athletes), Garrity-Anderson exemplifies a commitment to both academic excellence and community engagement.

Reflecting on his campus tour at St. Thomas University, Garrity-Anderson highlighted the hospitality of both staff and students as "next level." He also cited the athletic center as a significant highlight, envisioning spending ample time there in preparation for the season.

Coach Morrison commented on the signing, stating, "I am very excited to confirm the signing of Jovahn as our first recruit for our important 2024 recruiting class. Jovahn is a speedy winger that I think will make an immediate impact, having come from one of the best youth clubs in the country and impressing us during his trials here in January. He checks a lot of the boxes I look for in my recruits, including a solid GPA, involvement in his community, and a high level of professionalism in his commitment to the recruiting process."
