Tommes Drop Dragons in 3 Sets

A week ago to the day the Universite Sainte Anne Dragons took the St. Thomas University Tommies to five sets. Today it only took the Tommies three sets to dispatch the Dragons.

Ben Singer led the Tommies in kills for the second consecutive day, this time with nine total kills, to go along with three service aces. Anthony Jacques continued his strong ACAA campaign with a game high 14 kills to lead the Dragons.

The Tommies jumped out to an early lead against USA, which easily could have set the tone for the day, but the Dragons battled back in the first set, but eventually succumbed to the Tommies in a 25-22 set.

From the there on out the Tommies were in control on their way to 25-16 and 25-19 victories int he next sets.

The Tommies will travel to Holland College on February 9 for a pair of weekend games with the Hurricanes while the Dragons will host the UNB Saint John Seawolves for a weekend affair that same weekend.
