St. Thomas University men's volleyball kicked off their pre-season campaign tonight with a 3-1 loss against les Volontaires du Cegep Sherbrooke. This match was the first of eight in the STU Men's Volleyball showcase being played at the Richard J. Currie Center.
Paving the way for the Tommies was the third-year captain Christian Christie (Langley, BC) who notched 7 kills and 8 digs. First-year right-side hitter Dallas Melnick (Niagara Falls, ON) made an impact in his first collegiate game, tallying 7 kills and 3 aces.
The Tommies are back in action tomorrow morning at 11am against the 2018-2019 CCCA National Champion Fanshawe Falcons. Tommies will then face off with the UNB Reds at 7:30pm in a battle of the hill.
