Fredericton, NB - STU Tommies emerged victorious with a 3-1 win over UNB Saint John Seawolves in a spirited Think Pink afternoon match.
The match kicked off with a burst of energy from the Seawolves, who surged ahead in the first minutes of the game, establishing an early lead of 11-6 over the Tommies. Despite a valiant effort from STU to close the gap, the Seawolves held on to secure a narrow 25-23 victory in a tightly contested first set.
Undeterred by the early setback, the STU Tommies regrouped and came out with renewed focus in the second set. With a solid performance having strong serves and precise attacks, they dominated the set, clinching a convincing 25-16 win to even the match at 1-1.
Tommies carried their momentum into the third set, delivering a commanding performance that left the Seawolves struggling to keep pace. STU surged ahead to claim a decisive 25-15 victory, taking a 2-1 lead in the match.
In the fourth set, STU Tommies prevailed, maintaining their composure to secure a hard-fought 25-22 win and seal the victory on home court.
