Tommies Drop in Five sets Against USTA Dragons
In a heart-pounding match, the USTA Dragons triumphed over the Tommies in a five-set battle, showcasing exemplary volleyball skills and fierce determination on both sides.
 
The Dragons roared to life in the opening set, claiming a 25-21 victory. The Tommies rallied fiercely in the second set, clawing their way back to even the score with a 25-23 win.
 
The Dragons retaliated in the third set, seizing control and securing a 25-20 lead. Yet, the Tommies showcased resilience in the fourth set, dominating with a commanding 25-11 triumph.
 
With tensions soaring, the match escalated to a decisive fifth set. The Tommies seized a match point, but in a dramatic finale, the Dragons emerged victorious with a 16-14 win, clinching the match 3-2.
 
Both teams demonstrated volleyball prowess, with Liam Pelletier and Louis-Alexandre LeBlanc leading the Dragons with 23 and 22 kills, respectively. Meanwhile, Brenton Romanchuk and graduating player Austin Hamilton showcased stellar performances for the Tommies, each contributing 12 kills.
 
This game puts an end to the ACAA 2023–24 regular season; the next games for both teams will be in the playoffs which will be hosted by University of Saint John.
