STU Men’s Volleyball Land Standout Outside Hitter

The St. Thomas University Men’s Volleyball team is making headway with their class of 2025-2026 with the recent announcement of left side Sebby Villeneuve.

An 18U Nova Scotia Club Champion, Villeneuve joins the Tommies as a highly regarded prospect out of Bedford, Nova Scotia, and should make an early impact.

Considered one of the top prospects in Nova Scotia, Villeneuve is not only a key member of Team Nova Scotia’s indoor volleyball team, which participated at the 2024 Canada Cup, but he is also a standout on the sand, being named to the provincial beach volleyball team. 

Head Coach Henri Mallet is thrilled to land a recruit of Villeneuve’s pedigree and is eager to have him join the program

“This is a very exciting prospect. Sebby has a very high volleyball IQ, has good ball control and brings a competitive edge that will help push the rest of the roster.”

 Villeneuve is poised to make an immediate impact. 

 “I want to make a strong impact on a winning team and win the conference championship. I plan on bringing a high level of intensity and competitiveness and a strong all-around skill set.”

Villeneuve becomes the second recruit of the class of 2025-2026, joining middle blocker Evan Mosley (Calgary, Alberta)
