Tommies Down Bengals 77-61 at Ken Gould Invitational

The St. Thomas Tommies came back to top the University of Maine Fort Kent Bengals 77-61 in their second game of the Ken Gould Invitational.

Jayme Hunt paced the Tommies with 15 points, while Carissa McTague, Sara Banks, and Jessica Patenaude each chipped in with 12. 

Savana Jankowski led the Bengals with a game-high 21 points and Madison Fenner added 17 in the loss. 

The Bengals jumped to an early lead off some hot shooting--they hit four threes in the first quarter--and held on for a 38-30 advantage at the break.

The Tommies came out firing in the third and outscored the Bengals 29-7 in the frame. Their strong shooting, coupled with defensive intensity, gave them a 59-45 lead heading into the fourth.

The Bengals made a run in the final frame, but weren't able to close the gap. 

Hunt was named Player of the Game for the Tommies, while Jankowski was given the honours for the Bengals.
