The St. Thomas University Tommies fell 64-42 to the Holland College Hurricanes in ACAA women's basketball action Saturday afternoon in Charlottetown. 

It was a tight game in the first half, with the Hurricanes holding a 28-20 lead at the break. A lopsided third quarter that favoured the Hurricanes put the Tommies behind 17 and they were unable to close the gap.

Jayla Verney led all scorers with 19 points to go along with five assists and three steals. Milcania Diaz-Rojas added 15 points and eight rebounds in the win.

The Tommies were led by Jessica Patenaude, who connected for 10 points and grabbed 13 rebounds. Jayme Hunt added nine points.
