The Mount Allison Mounties won the showdown for third place as they defeated the St. Thomas Tommies 65-57 in ACAA women's basketball action Sunday afternoon.
With the win the CCAA #11 ranked Mounties sit at 8-6 on the season while the Tommies drop to 7-7.
Kiersten Mangold led the Mounties with 16 points and 14 rebounds, while Karly Buckingham had a career-high 12 points.
The Tommies were paced by Jessica Pateanude, who led all scorers with 19 points and seven rebounds. Jayme Hunt chipped in with 10 points and two steals.
