Kassidy Hamilton transfers to St. Thomas to join the Tommies in a highly touted recruiting class.

The 5'7" guard who played her first year of eligibility with the UKC Blue Devils of Halifax was transfering to St. Thomas to pursue her academic career, but the itch to play basketball still existed and plans to join the STU Women's Basketball program.

Hamilton, a graduate of Miramichi Valley High Pulamoo is excited about attending STU: "After meeting with Coach Connors, I realized we have same winning mind set and I know he will put me in the right places on the floor to succeed and help the team win." Kassidy has experience with Team New Brunswick at the U16 and U17 levels. "I am looking forward to playing with this great group of girls and to bring a hard work ethic to help our team succeed and make a strong push this season."

Coach Fred Connors is looking forward to complementing his roster with Hamilton.  "The coaching staff is very excited to add Kassidy to our roster. After meeting with Kassidy we knew we had a quality person and teammate who is going to fit perfectly with our team. To have someone come into the program with a great knowledge of the league and ready to work hard and defend is invaluable.

Kassidy is the newest announcement to the Women's Basketball roster after naming Abby Draper, Samantha Stordy, Cassy Hemphill, Bianca Hughes, and Emma Connors as recruits earlier.
