Leo Hayes Lion lands at STU for ACAA career

Tommies Women's Basketball land local product Reegan Kerr for the upcoming ACAA season.

Kerr will joing fellow NBIAA All-Star Lilly Sisk who was recently announced who both will start studying at St. Thomas University in September.  The upcoming Leo Hayes High School graduate will be undertaking the Criminology program in her hometown.

"STU was an obvious choice for academics because I want to pursuit a law degree with an undergraduate in criminology," mentions Kerr. "STU is known for having a strong criminology program and I know it will be a great place to further my education."

After a successful career in high school where she was named the Lions Varsity Girls Most Valuable Player, she is taking her work ethic to the Green & Gold.

"I love the level and intensity of the Tommies," lauds the guard in anticipation of joining the perennial ACAA contender.  "I could tell STU has the atmosphere I was looking for, I think the style of play is what my game will fit best."

Coach Fred Connors continues to add players to his competitive mix for the upcoming 2023-24 campaign and Kerr will bring the grit the veteran bench boss loves to see.

"We are excited to have Reegan join the Tommies program. Reegan has improved her consistency from the three point line and is a hard worker on both ends of the floor."

Her hard work was rewarded with a trip to the NBIAA All-Star game and a testament to her level of compete.

"Reegan will defend with energy and physicality and will do what the team needs to win," adds Fred.  "Knowing she has come from a program where she has been coached hard makes this a great fit for us!"

Reegan can't wait to hit the floor at the Lady Beaverbrook Gym and continue her journey  "I’m excited to continue developing with a great hard working team at the next level."

Reegan is the latest addition along with Lilly Sisk, Ella Hoyt, Ella Delorme, Paige Leblanc and Brianna Bartley for the 2023-24 recruiting season.

The 2023-24 ACAA Basketball schedule will be announced in May and Season Passes will be on sale in August, along with Training Camp starting in September.
