Hurricanes win home opener

The Hurricanes hosted the Tommies at the MacMillan Center for Community Engagement on Sunday afternoon for their home opener. 

In a back-and-forth battle, the Hurricanes came out with an early lead in the first quarter. The Tommie's rallied with a solid second quarter leading at the half by 7 points. Led by Celine Sterckle's 23 point performance. Tough defense from the Hurricanes kept them in the game in the fourth quarter and they eventually pulled ahead late to hold on for the 73-65 win. The Hurricanes were led but Alexa Rancourt with 18 points.

Hurricanes host UNBSJ Seawolves this Saturday November 4th. 
Tommies are back on the road vs MSVU Mystics November 4th.
