Marlee Oulton Commits to STU Women's Basketball Program

Fredericton,NB - Hometown (Woodstock,NB) guard Marlee Oulton has officially committed to the women's basketball program at St. Thomas University. Having honed her skills at Woodstock High School and Sweat Academy, Oulton brings a wealth of talent to the Tommies.

"I am thrilled to announce my commitment to St. Thomas University's basketball program," said Oulton . "I chose STU for its welcoming environment, small campus, and the opportunity to pursue my academic goals while playing basketball at the next level."

Marlee plans to major in a Bachelor of Arts program with a focus on education, aiming to become an elementary teacher in the future. Oulton's dedication to academics is matched by her impressive track record in extracurricular activities, including basketball, soccer, track & field, drama, and involvement in various leadership committees and community service initiatives such as Rotary Interact and Unified Basketball. 

When asked about Tommies basketball program, Oulton emphasized their defensive intensity, strong work ethic, and commitment to being supportive teammates. "I'm excited to contribute to the team's success and learn from Coach Connors. STU basketball has a fantastic reputation, and I am eager to challenge myself in this competitive environment."

Oulton has already achieved notable success in their basketball career, winning two AA provincial championships in grades 10 and 11 and earning recognition as an NBIAA South-West All-Star this year.
