Fredericton, NB - STU Tommies kicked off their season with a strong performance, taking down the UNBSJ Seawolves 67-53 in their home opener at the LB Gym.
The Tommies set the pace early, claiming a 4-point lead at the end of the first quarter and refusing to look back. Charlee Connors was instrumental in the win, earning Player of the Game honors and helping the Tommies build a substantial 35-22 advantage by halftime.
Despite a determined push from UNBSJ in the second half, the Tommies held their ground, maintaining a steady lead through to the final whistle 67-53 was the final score.
With this win, the Tommies have their sights set on their next game, traveling to Crandall on November 2nd.
