Fredericton, NB – STU Tommies pulled away late to secure a 60-40 win over the Crandall Chargers on Friday night at LB Gym.
The game started competitively, with STU holding a 19-14 lead after the first quarter. Both teams tightened up defensively in the second, with STU edging Crandall 8-6 to take a 27-20 advantage into halftime.
Crandall fought hard on the glass, led by Kelsey Alward's 12 rebounds, and kept within striking distance for much of the game.
