The St. Thomas Tommies topped the Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues 2-1 in AUS pre-season hockey action Saturday afternoon at the Grant-Harvey Centre.
After a scoreless first period, the Tommies hit the score sheet 1:17 into the second with a goal from Lauren Legault. Two minutes later, Bernier responded on the power play for the Aigles Bleues to tie the game 1-1.
Lauren Henman scored the game-winner midway through the second, beating Aigles Bleues netminder Gabrielle Forget.
The Tommies are now 2-0 in the pre-season.
