Tommies late power play marker not enough for Moncton's 4-1 revenge win

The STU Tommies Women's Hockey struggled to get bac-to-back wins, after a road loss in Moncton 4-1 to the Aigles Bleues.

The UdeM squad scored two goals in the opening frame with tallies from Lalancette and Tremblay.  Desforges added another marker at 4:36 in the middle frame and Quirion sealed it late in the third period.

St. Thomas was able to break Berthiaume's shutout bid with a power play goal from Aislynn Byers with 1:09 remaining in the contest.

Coach Peter Murphy thought the Green & Gold came out sluggish out of the gate. "We weren't happy with our first period, but our second and third periods were stronger.  When we move our feet we are a very different team."

Phases of the game are important, and the focus was on getting back to a higher pace of execution.  "I felt we did that much better in the latter parts of the game," addded Murphy.

The Tommies hope to have one last weekend of play on Easter Weekend.  Game schedule will be announced later this week.
