Alexie Palchinski Commits to STU Women's Hockey Program

Fredericton, NB - St. Thomas University Women's hockey program is thrilled to announce the addition of Alexie Palchinski, a left winger from Cudworth, Saskatchewan, to their roster for next season. 

Palchinski brings a wealth of talent, dedication, and enthusiasm to the Tommies. "I will bring commitment, a strong work ethic, and a very positive attitude to the Tommies," stated Palchinski when asked about her contributions to the team. Her dedication to excellence, on and off the ice, is sure to make her a valuable asset to the program.

Palchinski's decision to join St. Thomas University was influenced by the university's supportive environment and her confidence in her ability to thrive. "I chose St. Thomas for how much support the university has to offer, as well as because it's a place where I feel comfortable and know I will succeed," she explained.

Palchinski currently plays for the Innovation Federal Credit Union Wildcats in the Saskatchewan Female U18 AAA hockey league where she is currently tied for 10th in league scoring.

In addition to her athletic pursuits, Palchinski plans to pursue a dual degree in psychology and criminology. Her academic focus underscores her commitment to personal and academic growth, making her a well-rounded student-athlete.

Coach Peter Murphy expressed his excitement about Palchinski joining the team, stating, "Alexie is a quick forward with the ability to create offense with anyone around her. She does well on the boards and will bring that tenacity to our forward group next year. Alexie is leading her team in scoring this year, and we have no doubt she will work hard to be an impact at the USports level as well. We are very happy to have her in Green and Gold next year."

With Alexie Palchinski's arrival, the St. Thomas University Women's Hockey team anticipates a bright future filled with success both on the ice and in the classroom. Her talent, dedication, and positive attitude are sure to make her a standout member of the Tommies family.
