St. Thomas University Tommies clashed against a formidable University of New Brunswick (UNB Reds) team in a highly anticipated university rugby showdown. UNB's triumph was evident from the kickoff; they maintained advantage by halftime and consolidated the victory with the final score settling at 29-10 for UNB.

UNB exhibited exceptional teamwork and skill, asserting their superiority early in the game. St. Thomas University found it challenging to match UNB's intensity, struggling to break through their solid defence. 

Reflecting on the game, St. Thomas University's coach acknowledged the team's potential but emphasized the need for increased intensity. The coach stated, "We had a lot of potential, but unfortunately, we weren't able to execute and play the game how we wanted. I think we need to increase our intensity for the next game." Tommies players showcased resilience and determination. Although they faced a tough challenge, they remained optimistic, seeing the match as a valuable learning opportunity.
