Hancock heads East to join Tommies Women's Soccer

Ontario's Delaney Hancock is the third member of the Oshawa Kicks Soccer Club to join the Tommies Women's Soccer program.

The right winger who is rounding out her grad year and will bring an impact to the Green & Gold this Fall, and is already looking forward to moving to Fredericton.

"I chose St. Thomas because I loved the beautiful campus and academic opportunities available to me," she said.

In pursuing a Libertal Arts degree, Delaney knew that STU was the University to continue her journey.  "St. Thomas has excellent academics and small classes to really get to know your professors. I loved my experience at the school during my visit and I look forward to growing as a person and student at this university." lauds Hancock.

Head Coach David Itoafa is looking for these student-athletes who will bring both passion on the pitch and in the classroom.

"She has great vision, technique, and passion for the game! We are excited to bring another product from Oshawa Kicks SC to the St. Thomas and she will fit in very well with the group"

Delaney is enthusiastic about the opportunity of competing in the ACAA.

"I’m very excited to be joining this team of skilled, hardworking and positive athletes," Delaney added. "I’m very grateful for the welcome I received from the coaching and players and I’m excited to further develop with this team.

Delaney is the sixth addition announced for Women's Soccer along with Avery Scott, Jessica Weir, Brooklynn Saunders, Katy Davidge and Caitlyn Steeves for the 2023-24 season.

The 2023 ACAA Fall Soccer schedule will be announced in May and Season Passes will be on sale in August, along with Training Camp starting at the end of August.
