Lily Breneol Commits to STU Tommies for 2024-25 Season

Fredericton, NB - David Itoafa adds another local player from Fredericton, NB to the women's soccer program for 2024-25 season. 

Lily Breneol, a center midfielder will join the Tommies next fall after having played for Fredericton High School (FHS) and the Fredericton District Soccer Association (FDSA). 

"A technically gifted midfielder with a fantastic attitude. Lily moves the ball well and has the potential to be an impact player in the ACAA". - said David Itoafa 

Breneol grew up in Fredericton, surrounded by a welcoming, expanding, and competitive soccer community. "I have always wanted to continue my soccer journey at university, so when I was generously offered a position at St. Thomas, I knew it would be the right fit" - Breneol said. 

Apart from playing soccer all year round, going to school, and making time for friends and family, Breneol enjoys listening to music in her free time. "I used to play piano competitively and I was teaching myself guitar before soccer completely took over. I also benefited from participating in as many sports as possible, which included track and field, badminton, basketball, cross-country running, and skiing".

Breneol commented on joining women's soccer program - The St. Thomas Women’s Soccer program has a strong reputation for a positive team environment and success on the field. I love the sense of community, growth, and commitment to maintaining the balance between academic and athletic excellence. They have an incredible, experienced coaching staff who have a great knowledge of the game. I feel fully connected to the program and I am excited to be joining such a wonderful team.
