STU Tommies Fall 7-0 against Holland College in the ACAA Semifinal

Halifax, NS Holland College dominated the game with a 7-0 victory and ended STU Tommies hope to earn a spot in the ACAA finals. STU Coach David Itoafa praises the team's season, promising a stronger comeback next year.

Right from the start, Holland College started with an early lead. Lepine's quick goals(Min 6,18) seized control, and the Tommies were under constant pressure throughout the first half. The first half ended with a 4-0 score for Holland College, with goals scored by Kina Azuma(Min 42) and Reese Kelly. 

Tommies fought back at the start of the second half. Laura Horsley missed a penalty at Min 47, leaving the Tommies with little hope of advancing to the finals. STU Tommies midfield worked tirelessly, attempting to break through Holland College's solid defense. Despite several promising moves, they couldn't find the net.

Emily Lepine continued her goal-scoring spree, completing a hat-trick at Min 55 and adding her final goal minutes later. Her fourth goal of the match emphasized her impact on the game, solidifying Holland College's dominance. Her clinical finishing left the Tommies defense struggling to contain her. 

As the final whistle blew, the scoreboard read 7-0 in favor of Holland College. STU Tommies faced a tough defeat, but they remain optimistic and are already thinking of next season. 

In the end, it was Holland College's day, with Emily Lepine's(Player of the Year) brilliance guiding them to victory. The STU Tommies, though defeated, showcased resilience and spirit, earning the respect of fans and opponents. 

After the match, STU Tommies' coach, David Tough, reflected on the game, saying, "Tough one for sure, but really happy overall with the season. Amazing first season; there's lots to work on for next season. Prepare the best way we can offseason and come back better and stronger for next year."
