The St. Thomas University Tommies topped the University of King's College Blue Devils 3-1 in ACAA women's volleyball action Sunday at the Lady Beaverbrook Gym.

The set scores were 25-17, 25-21, 6-25, and 25-22.

The game began with the teams exchanging points as neither was able to gain a significant advantage in the first set.

The Tommies eventually found their rhythm offensively, which carried them to a 25-17 win.

The Tommies took the second set 25-21, but it didn't come without defensive struggles—the Blue Devils controlled the middle of the court for the majority of the set.

Down 2-0 in the match, the Blue Devils responded in a big way and took the third set 25-6.

The Tommies went on to win the fourth set narrowly in a back-and-forth battle that tested the team's resiliency.

Deidre Jones and Hannah Millier paced the Tommies in the win, tallying 11 and 10 kills, respectively.

The Blue Devils were led by Megan Gosse, who had a game-high 13 kills.

The Tommies are back in action Wednesday when they visit the University of New Brunswick Saint John Seawolves at 6:00 pm.
